Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use our services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use them only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

You are responsible for the security of your account and for everything that happens under it. Keep your sign-in details private, and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

MangaX is a general-purpose tool: an in-app web browser that can recognise text on the pages you open, translate it, show the translation over the page, and save pages to your device for offline reading.

• We do not host, upload, store, index, curate, recommend, or link to manga, comics, or any other third-party content. You choose which websites to visit and which files to open. Pages you view are loaded directly from those websites onto your device.
• MangaX is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any website, publisher, author, or rights holder whose content you may view through it.
• Recognising text and drawing translations happens for the page you are reading, at your request, in the same way a browser's built-in translation feature works.

Because MangaX works with content that belongs to other people, you are solely responsible for making sure you have the right to use it. By using MangaX, you agree that you will:

• Only access, translate, save, import, or export content you are legally entitled to use: works you have purchased or licensed, works the rights holder makes available for free, works in the public domain, or your own work.
• Use translations, saved chapters, and exported files for your own personal, private, non-commercial reading only.
• Not use MangaX to access websites or files that distribute copyrighted works without the rights holder's permission.
• Not publish, upload, sell, or otherwise distribute translated pages, scanlations, exported images, or .cbz files to the public, unless the rights holder has allowed you to.
• Not use MangaX to bypass paywalls, subscriptions, DRM, access controls, or any other technological protection measure, and follow the terms of service of every website you visit.
• Follow the age ratings and content laws that apply to you and to the works you read.

We cannot see or check what you read, and we do not monitor it. If you break these rules, you alone are responsible to the rights holder and under applicable law, including the Copyright Act B.E. 2537 (1994) of Thailand as amended and the copyright laws of your country.

• Translations are produced automatically by machine-learning models run by us, by third-party AI providers, or on your device. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate, and are provided for your personal understanding only.
• Translations are not official translations and are not approved by the authors, publishers, or rights holders of the original work. Translating a work does not give you or us any rights in that work.
• You are responsible for anything you type into the app yourself, such as glossary terms, edited bubble text, and notes.
• Do not rely on translations for legal, medical, financial, or safety decisions.

• Chapters you save, files you import, covers you choose, and exported files are stored only on your device. We do not back them up, and they may be lost if you delete the app, clear its data, or change devices.
• Only import archives and images that you have the right to use, as described in Section 3.
• Sharing and export features are provided so you can move your own files between your own apps and devices. You are responsible for anything you share.

Some features, such as read-aloud voices, let you connect an account with a third-party AI provider using your own API key. The key is stored on your device, and requests are sent from your device directly to that provider. Your use of the provider is governed by its own terms and pricing, and any charges it makes are between you and the provider.

Some services offer paid features, tokens, credits, or subscriptions through in-app purchases, rewarded advertisements, or redeem codes.

• Tokens are used up when a translation is requested. They are used up even when you are unhappy with the result, because the translation work has already been done.
• Tokens, credits, and other virtual balances are a limited licence to use our services. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred, sold, or traded.
• Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Refunds follow their policies and any rights you have under applicable law.
• Redeem codes can be used once per account, may expire, and may be withdrawn if they were obtained or used fraudulently.
• Prices, packages, and features may change. We may remove balances obtained through fraud, abuse, chargebacks, or technical errors.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings before the renewal date.

You agree not to:

• Use our services for any unlawful purpose or in breach of Section 3
• Reverse engineer, modify, resell, or exploit the apps or our translation service
• Access our servers other than through our apps, including through bots, scripts, or automated bulk requests
• Create multiple accounts or manipulate advertisements, rewards, or redeem codes to obtain tokens you are not entitled to
• Interfere with our infrastructure, security systems, or other users
• Upload or distribute malware or abusive content

We respect the rights of authors and publishers. If you are a rights holder, or are authorised to act for one, and believe MangaX is being used to infringe your copyright, email [email protected] with the subject line "Copyright notice" and include:

1. Your name, address, and contact details, and your relationship to the rights holder
2. A description of the copyrighted work
3. Where the infringement happens, such as the website address or the part of our service involved
4. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder or the law
5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act for them
6. Your physical or electronic signature

MangaX does not host third-party content, so we cannot remove content from other websites. When we receive a valid notice, we will review it promptly and may take one or more of the following actions:

• block the identified website or pages from being opened or translated in MangaX
• disable features involved in the infringement
• delete related data we store, such as synced history entries or cached translations
• suspend or terminate the accounts involved

Repeat infringers. We will terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright, as the Copyright Act (No. 5) B.E. 2565 (2022) of Thailand expects of service providers.

If you believe action was taken against your account by mistake, you can send us a counter-notice explaining why, with the same contact details and a signed statement that it is accurate.

We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of our services, and remove balances that were obtained improperly, if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law or by a rights holder's valid notice, or to protect our users or services. You may stop using our services and delete your account at any time from the app's settings.

Our services may include advertisements, sign-in with Google or Apple, payment providers, AI providers, and third-party websites you open in the in-app browser. They are operated by others and have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites, their content, or their practices.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time. Some websites may stop working with MangaX because of changes they make. We are not responsible for interruptions, unavailability, or loss of data, content, or virtual items caused by updates, maintenance, or technical issues.

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, or for claims arising from content you access, translate, save, or share. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless redev.rx studio against any claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from content you access, translate, save, import, or share with our services, or from your breach of these Terms or of anyone else's rights.

If you downloaded an app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these Terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app, its content, maintenance, support, or any claims relating to it. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app if one was paid. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Thailand, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your rights. It is part of these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, tell you in the app. If you keep using our services after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
